After your job opening is received by us, or posted on-line, it is entered into our statewide database. Next, the skills that you are looking for in an employee are matched with the job seekers in our database. The computer database maintains a file of registered job seekers which includes information regarding their skills, work history, and education. An automated phone message is sent notifying qualified job seekers about your position. Your position is also posted in the Fort Collins and Loveland Workforce Center (LCWC) offices.
In addition to notifying qualified applicants about your job openings, the Larimer County Workforce Center can assist you with the following resources:
- Interviewing Support
The LCWC provides office space for employers to interview and screen job seekers.
- Labor Market Information
The LCWC assists businesses in understanding the labor market (trends, wages, etc.) so you can attract and retain the best employees.
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit
Businesses can receive federal income tax credits when you hire job seekers in one of eight target groups. See the WOTC Handbook [pdf] for more information.
- Larimer County Enterprise Zone
State tax credits for businesses that invest in areas designated as Enterprise Zones.
- Rapid Response Assistance
These services are available during layoffs and may include information for employees regarding Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits, reemployment strategies, and layoff survival.
- New and Expanding Businesses
