Registered Apprenticeship Programs
A Registered Apprenticeship (RA) is a job that combines formal technical training (in classroom or online) with practical, on-the-job training. Employers use RAs to build a skilled and invested workforce for their business. Job seekers earn a wage while they learn the skills of the trade, receive progressive wage increases as they master skills and end apprenticeship with a nationally recognized credential.
In Larimer County, employers across industries are using RAs. Opportunities can be found in industries such as health care, information technology, energy, telecommunications, advanced manufacturing and more. Most apprentices are hired by employers then move into RA programs. Therefore, the first step is to research/inquire about RA opportunities with employers.
