Larimer County Workforce Center Youth Services is looking for youth candidates, ages 16-18, to be considered by local businesses for part-time employment opportunities for spring and summer 2012. There are multiple employers who will be interviewing candidates who complete this preparation program for summer youth employment.
>>>Candidates who fill out applications and are selected to take part in this job search program will participate in job readiness workshops that will cover:
- Building a resume and cover letter
- Interviewing skills
- Soft skills needed to work in a professional setting
- Effective job search strategies
Candidates may also be asked to take part in short assessment activities to verify additional skills requested by employers. We will also conduct mock interviews to prepare for the employer interviews, as well as one-on-one sessions to review the candidate’s job search portfolio and to identify specific positions they are interested in.
